Canditto

Oooh I just read about this cool service called Canditto. It’s a kiosk you can rent for your wedding that guests can you use to upload all of their digital prints to. At the end of the night you get a cd with all of your guests photos. I really love this idea since you know pretty much everybody has a digital camera now. It’s an easy way to collect all of the photos. The bad part? It’s only available in a few select states (MA, CT, VT, RI, NH, ME). [Link]

A girlfriend mine just booked this for her event in Boston in June. Awesome idea!

What a great idea… I truly think the best shots from weddings are the ones taken by friends. I wish they had this in California.

Sounds terrific! My favorite photos were by far from my friends. The only hard part was having all of those photos emailed to me!! I wish this had been around when I got married. What a cool thing.

I know a friend that used it at her wedding. It was simple and easy to use. Say good bye to the disposable camera!

I’m an event videographer and I started to offer it to my customers too - I only had positive feedback. It is like having dozens of photographers at your wedding day - nothing can be missed. I think it is a great feature for a wedding planner, DJ, photographer, ceremony and reception site and all event vendors. They can offer it for a small fee or even complimentary to their customers. You can’t go with disposable cameras now - you loose so much on quality and cost…

I heard of this too and was nervous about putting my memory card in it because I didn’t know what other (racier) pictures were going to be on there…but the service actually only takes the photos off from when the event begins to when you load the card. Pretty cool, eh?
I would like to see what other pics people have on their cameras…another service, I guess:-)

I think this is a better alternative to providing disposable cameras for wedding guests. It’s not only cheaper and more environmentally friendly, but it’ll be easier for me to get all of the pictures after the wedding. It would definitely be money well spent for me!

I think this is a fabulous idea. It was so hard to get everyone’s photos after my wedding.

Canditto to all the above praise. I’m totally down with this gizmo! I just wish I had it at my wedding. We had a friend take polaroid pictures and make an instant photo album for us take on our honeymoon. I can’t imagine how cool it would have been to have everyone’s pictures all at once on my laptop. My wedding was two years ago and now I wonder how many photos were taken that I may never get to see.

I saw this thing on the web a few weeks ago. I got married a little under a year ago and I’m still wrestling with photographers and videographers. Thank god for my friends and families’ pics - wish I had the canditto

My wedding featured a Canditto kiosk a few weeks ago. And my husband and I could not be happier! We’re still waiting for pics from our professional photographer, but guess what… We’ve already posted about 200 photos from our wedding (taken by our guests) on our website because they were available to us before we even left our reception site!
At first I just thought, “Ah, it’ll be cool to have a this new thing at my wedding that not too many people know about…become part of trend-setting.” But it became so much more than that to us. We truly recommend it for weddings and other big events. I even think it would be an incredible gift to give someone. Get a few friends to split the package cost and make another bride and groom as happy as I was/am.
